Bradford Bulls’ change of ownership has this afternoon been ratified by the sport’s governing body.

The Rugby Football League has given its seal of approval to the Super League club’s new board of directors, exactly a month after former boss Omar Khan dramatically stood down.

The new owners, Ryan Whitcut, Mark Moore, Ian Watt and Andrew Calvert, and chief executive Robbie Hunter-Paul met RFL chiefs on Tuesday to discuss their business plan and proof of funding and today had their takeover confirmed.

Mr Moore said: “We were confident that we had provided the governing body what they required to allow us to take control of the club but the formal ratification given to us today means we can carry on with the process of rebuilding the Bulls brand.

“I am sure there are exciting times ahead for all Bulls supporters who can now purchase their season tickets with full confidence in the knowledge that the club will be in what is setting up to be the biggest and most exciting Super League season in its history.”
