Sainsbury's close to submitting plans for Skipton

Developers behind a Sainsbury’s store and business park on the outskirts of Skipton say they are close to submitting plans.
Wyvern Park, planned for a 58 acre site between Waltonwrays Cemetery and Sandylands Sports Centre, would feature a supermarket and industrial site, plus hotel, pub and restaurant.
Plans for the multi-million pound development were unveiled to the town council, and at a public consultation, before the summer.
Now, the company says it has spent several weeks adapting plans address issues raised.
It also hopes to soon announce the name of a Skipton company that would wish to relocate to the park.
A Henry Boot Spokesman said: “Since first consulting about Wyvern Park in April, a number of points have been raised by the local community, which we've worked very hard to address.
“We have been particularly pleased by the positive response from local business owners, who want to expand without leaving Skipton. “We hope to soon announce the name of a Skipton business that has agreed to take space at Wyvern Park.”
The spokesman added: “We aim to submit a planning application to Craven District Council in the coming weeks, however if people still wish to comment they can, either by calling our consultation hotline on 0800 319 6162 or e-mailing info@ wyvernparkskipton.co.uk”
