Your chance to grill Bradford Council's executive team
7:00am Sunday 20th October 2013 in News
The public can grill the senior politicians who run Bradford Council at two Question Time-style events.
People can quiz top councillors about issues such as schools, city centre regeneration or congestion on the roads at two specially-convened panels in Bradford and Keighley.
Facing the public will be the Labour team that forms Bradford Council’s executive.
The team is Bradford Council leader Councillor David Green, deputy leader Councillor Imran Hussain, executive member for children’s services Councillor Ralph Berry, executive member for adult services Councillor Amir Hussain, executive member for housing, planning and transport Councillor Val Slater, executive member for employment, skills and culture Councillor Susan Hinchcliffe and executive member for environment, sport and sustainability Councillor Andrew Thornton.
The first event is on Wednesday, November 27, at City Hall, Bradford. On Wednesday, December 11, the panel will face Keighley residents at Central Hall, Alice Street. Both events will be chaired by the Bishop of Bradford, the Right Reverend Nick Baines.
Coun Green said: “Following the success of the first Question Time session in Shipley in the summer, we have decided to hold events in Bradford and Keighley so more people in the district have a chance to come along and ask a question.”
Businesses, schools and groups have been invited and residents can reserve a place or turn up on the night. To reserve a place, visit bradford.gov.uk/questiontime or phone (01274) 432301.
People can also submit a question in advance, by e-mailing email@example.com by November 22.
