Eid cheer for young in hospital
Eid gifts were handed to youngsters in the children’s ward at Bradford Royal Infirmary.
Naqshbandia Active Development Association, which runs Jamia Masjid Naqshbandia Aslamia in Bradford, visited Ward 17 to cheer up patients.
NADA general secretary Nazim Ali said: “We realise Eid is a period of celebration for Muslims. But it is also a period where we should reflect and support the most vulnerable.
“We felt the need to make a proactive difference. Our members all contributed towards the purchase of the Eid gifts. It was a small, humble gesture on our part, which will hopefully cheer up the children.
“When we presented the gifts to the children they were ever so happy and seeing them smile was priceless. It certainly has made our Eid.”
