School students and older people have enjoyed a two and a half hour session to help bridge the generation gap in Cullingworth.
The students introduced their new friends to gadgets such as ipods and ipads, while the residents brought along items such as scrapbooks filled with photographs.
Parkside year 12 head Philip Logan said the gathering had been a success, with young and old alike benefiting from the opportunity to interact and compare their experiences of life.
“Some of our pupils who went along are 14-year-olds and they couldn’t get their head around the fact that some of the older people had left school at 14 to work,” he said.
