The Marie Curie Hospice in Bradford received a surprise gift from a Cleckheaton company.
Volkswagen Van Centre has donated a Volkswagen Caddy van to the hospice to replace the one they donated seven years ago.
It will be used to take blood samples to Bradford Royal Infirmary, collect prescriptions for patients and help with the day to day movement of other items at the hospice.
Dominique Owen, the hospice’s facilities manager, said: “We are so grateful to Volkswagen Van Centre for donating this vehicle.
"It will save us an enormous amount of money and help the day to day running of the hospice.”
Andrew Caygill, managing director of Volkswagen Van Centre, added: “We are delighted to support the hospice by supplying this van.
“The hospice does some amazing work for terminally ill people and we wanted to continue to support them with this donation.”
