City Hall to determine turbine plan at Denholme
8:50pm Wednesday 9th October 2013 in News
Plans for a wind turbine at the Omega Proteins site in Denholme are likely to get a second stamp of approval from Bradford Council. The proposal for a 34 metre tall turbine at the rendering plant at Erlings Works has been given the green light by the council’s Keighley Planning Panel, but because of the location on green belt land, the application now has to go to the council’s Regulatory and Appeals Committee at City Hall at 10am on Thursday. The plan had been opposed by Shipley MP Philip Davies, Denholme Town Council and 20 Denholme residents, but officers have recommended that the council approve the application.
