PDSA appeals for funding bid support
2:18pm Tuesday 8th October 2013 in News
A pet charity with a hospital in Bradford is in the running for a £50,000 grant.
The PDSA is urging animal lovers to support its bid for cash from the People’s Postcode Trust’s by voting for it in the Vote That Counts initiative.
The charity wants to use the money to fund an initiative to stop pets dying from illnesses that are preventable.
Nicola Martin, PDSA’s head of pet health and welfare, said: “The £50,000 will help us to deliver more life-saving care packages for pets including guidance on preventive treatments such as vaccinations and neutering, alongside full health MOTs and action plans.
“Research shows millions of pets across the UK suffer needlessly from entirely preventable illnesses.
"It only takes a few clicks to cast your vote, it’s free, and it will make a huge difference to thousands of pets.”
