Burley-in-Wharfedale pupils raise cash in jeans for genes day
1:00pm Tuesday 8th October 2013 in News
Children turned up for lessons in less formal clothing than normal – but it was all in aid of a good cause.
In support of Jeans for Genes Day, pupils at Ghyll Royd School (pictured) in Burley-in-Wharfedale wore their jeans to school and donated £1 to charity.
The children raised almost £100 for the charity.
Jeans for Genes Day is an event raising money for Genetic Disorders UK. Their aim is to change the world for children with genetic disorders.
