Expansion of classes in Mandarin in Bradford
10:00am Monday 7th October 2013 in News
A weekend school which teaches Mandarin to children has expanded to start an adult class.
Bradford Chinese School has also linked up with an institute promoting Mandarin lessons in the business community.
The school, which is based at Bradford Grammar School, teaches Chinese language, art and culture lessons to around 64 children each weekend.
Many of the staff are volunteers and they also use the Grammar School building free-of-charge.
The school has also formed links with The Business Confucius Institute at the University of Leeds (BCIUL), a body which aims to encourage Yorkshire businesses to invest in China.
