Bradford school’s system for safety of its pupils
9:00am Monday 7th October 2013 in News
A new purpose-built school for children with emotional, social and behavioural difficulties has now got a state-of-the-art telecommunications system which will ensure the safety of both teachers and students.
Installed at Oastler’s School in East Bowling, Bradford, the telecoms system is secure and tamper-free, and is designed to meet the specialist needs of the school, where as many as 80 young people may soon attend each day.
The school now has discreet rapid response buttons on classroom telephones which, in the event of an incident, link directly to reception and immediately alert the school’s behavioural response team.
A further element is a tannoy feature, integrated into the telephone system, which means each student can leave the school by taxi at the end of each day in a scheduled and efficient way.
