Kate Hardcastle, who became Bradford Bulls’ first female director, has won an Inspirational Women award.
At a ceremony in London, the award-winning businesswoman (pictured) was recognised for “her passionate approach in creating a business, Insight With Passion, that gives 20 per cent back to charity and community”.
A spokesman for the awards said: “She created the charity Dreamgirls – raising awareness for lesser-known charities – and is ambassador for the Diana Awards, RSPCA and the Women's Sports Trust.
“A breakthrough woman in the world of sport, as a director at Bradford Bulls, and by embarking on a 2014 challenge to raise funds for young women in sport. Her proudest achievement, by far, is her three-year-old daughter – despite a significant battle with endometriosis.”
Kate said: “I see myself as the baton-carrier for the next generation. There is a lot I want to be achieved for my daughter’s generation. I've only just begun.”
