Keighley Air Cadets open their doors
1:00pm Thursday 3rd October 2013 in News
Keighley Air Cadets are to stage their first open evening this month.
The event at the Drill Hall, in Lawkholme Lane, will be held by 2431 (Keighley) Squadron ATC from 7pm to 9pm on October 21.
A spokesman for the unit said: “The evening is designed for young people aged 12 to 18 to come down and see what we get up to.
“Parents and family members are also welcome to see what we do.
“Our cadets will carry on as usual, so visitors will be able to get a look at what we do during parade evenings.
“The open evening will feature a brief chat from the commanding officer on what the air cadet organisation involves, a chat from our pilot officer on the flying and gliding opportunities within Air Cadets, and a presentation from our lord lieutenants cadet on the many other activities available.
“Anybody interested in a career with the Royal Air Force should definitely pay us a visit.
"This is also a good evening for people who are aged 20 plus and would love to do a spot of volunteering or gain new qualifications.”
