US band Biohazard to play Keighley Exchange Arts Centre
6:11pm Monday 30th September 2013 in News
Top American band Biohazard has made a late booking to play the Exchange Arts Centre in Keighley.
The quartet, renowned for fusing hardcore punk and heavy metal with hip hop, will perform on October 17.
The booking is a coup for the Exchange following its success hosting gigs by other bands on UK tours.
Owner Jym Harris said: "The booking agent contacted me and said these guys were available. He knew the venue and could trust us.
"We're very pleased. It's a band that I've been into for 20 years."
Biohazard, originally based in Brooklyn, rose to prominence on the New York hardcore scene and released their debut album in 1990 with songs focusing on gang wars, drugs and violence.
Since then they have sold millions of albums and played concerts on both sides of the Atlantic including UK festival Monsters of Rock.
Tickets for the October 17 gig cost £15 from Keighley Musicians Centre, next to the Exchange on Russell Street, all online for £16.50 from wegottickets.com.
