Fundraisers climb Snowdon for Intouch Foundation soup kitchen
Supporters of a mobile soup kitchen raised about £5,500 by carrying out a sponsored climb up Snowdon.
The sponsored walk participants set off from Keighley and Bradford early in the morning on Saturday. They reached the foot of Snowdon at 9.30am and all the walkers had made it to the summit four hours later.
Khurm Mezhar, 22, Keighley co-ordinator, said: “The weather was beautiful – a bit cold on the top, but that was to be expected.
“The descent was harder than going up, but it only took about two hours. We got back home at 10.30pm.”
He added he was particularly pleased that so many younger people had chosen to come on the charity climb.
