Manorlands hospice welcomes public to open day
Manorlands is opening up its doors to the public.
The Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice is inviting people to visit the Hebden Road centre to glimpse what’s on offer.
Although labelled a tea party, the event on Friday, October 11, will feature a whole lot more.
People will be able to learn about the invaluable services provided at the hospice, and in the community.
Consultant Mike Hughes will give a talk, and the relative of a former patient will speak about his family’s experiences.
The wide range of volunteer roles and opportunities to support fundraising at Manorlands will be outlined.
There will also be information for carers, a complementery therapy taster stand and details of planning ahead. Tea and cakes will be served.
The free drop-in event, between 10am and 3pm, is being held as part of Hospice Care Week.
