Students from Bradford College’s performing arts courses will be showing off their talents around the city this week.
Today year one performing arts students will be taking part in the Positive Bradford Celebrations with a performance on the main stage and a series of flashmobs, while on Monday, second year students will perform at the opening of Safeguarding Week at City Hall.
Run annually by Bradford Safeguarding Children Board, Safeguarding Week is a programme of drop in events – talks, performances, workshops and activities – being run at various venues around the city from Monday until Friday, October 4.
The week aims to promote safety and safeguarding and is open to all residents.
Lisa Edwards, Course Leader for Performing Arts at Bradford College said: “Students and staff worked in close collaboration with the organisers to give a different spin on this event – something more engaging than a straightforward talk.
“It’s a great experience for students to be commissioned by an outside organisation and inspiring for those who are seeking employment in community arts.”
