Chellow Heights Special school to get £1,500 charity play boost

A Bradford special school is set to receive a financial boost thanks to the efforts of rotarians.
Chellow Heights Special School is to be presented with a cheque for £1,500 from Shipley Rotary Club.
The money has been raised from a number of rotary events, including vintage car photos at car rallies and a concert by the West Yorkshire Police Band.
The money will be used to help install a wheelchair-accessible climbing frame and play castle in the school grounds – items on pupils’ wishlist – the whole project will cost about £45,000.
Vicki Street, fundraising co-ordinator at the school, said: “On behalf of everyone at Chellow Heights, we are very grateful to the members of Shipley Rotary Club for their tremendous support, which is a great boost to our campaign.
“We are continuing to fundraise for various projects to benefit the pupils within school through our charity Chellow Hearts.”
