Bradford youngsters' chance to develop leadership and football skills

Bradford Council is inviting youngsters with a passion for football to enrol on a ten-week skills development programme in October.
Girls and boys, aged five to 15, can sign up for the Striker 9 programme, starting on October 7, at six sites across the district.
The course will cover seven skill categories including shooting, dribbling, heading, and using both feet.
Children will be put through their paces by FA-qualified coaches and each child will be given a portfolio which includes information about code of conduct, training and nutrition alongside the programme of training levels and evidence of progression sheets.
Courses will run at Marley Activities and Coaching Centre, on Tuesday, October 8 between 4pm and 6pm; Nab Wood Sports Centre on Wednesday, October 9 at 4pm-6pm; The Leisure Centre, Keighley, on Thursday, October 10 from 4pm-6pm; Richard Dunn Sports Centre on Friday, October 11, at 4pm-6pm; Thornton Recreation Centre on Saturday, October 12 at 9am-11am; and Manningham Sports Centre on Sunday, October 13 at 1pm-3pm.
The price for the full 10 weeks will be £35 or £26 for Passport to Leisure Card holders.
