No evidence clears Bradford pair of dangerous dog charge
Two teenagers, accused of being in charge of a dangerous dog, walked free from Bradford Crown Court yesterday after the prosecution offered no evidence.
Sameer Saeed, 18, of Hazelhurst Brow, Daisy Hill, Bradford, and a 17-year-old youth who cannot be identified, had been charged with being in charge of a Japanese Akita dog which caused injury while dangerously out of control in a public place, Portwood Street, Daisy Hill, on December 12 last year.
But prosecutor Nick Barker said the complainant, Daniel Wilson, had been unable to identify the defendants, and so the case was fatally flawed.
Judge David Hatton QC ordered not guilty verdicts.
