Love at First Bite shop owners' fundraising tribute to loved ones
A couple who own one of Bradford city centre’s newest businesses are to hold a charity event to raise cash for a cause close to their hearts.
Jason and Jennifer Simpson both lost grandparents to cancer and are determined to do their bit to help in the fight against the disease.
The couple, who live in Barkerend, will hold a fundraiser from 10am to 3.30pm tomorrow at their Love at First Bite cake, sandwich and coffee shop at 11 Sunbridge Road.
All money raised will go towards Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning fund.
Mr Simpson, 35, originally from Tyersal, lost his granddad, Cyril Simpson, when he was in his 80s.
Mrs Simpson, 28, originally from Cleckheaton, said her grandma, Audrey Priestley, died of the disease when aged in her 70s.
The couple opened their business last month in a property that had been vacant since the closure of the Mother Cookers shop.
