Advice on offer on disabled payment
8:00am Wednesday 25th September 2013 in News
A support group is offering free advice for disabled people applying for the new Personal Independence Payment.
People First Keighley and Craven will guide people through the complex application form.
The charity’s workers workers have been given specialist training on the claims process by the Department for Work and Pensions.
Personal Independence Payments, or PIPs, have replaced the Disability Living Allowance (DLA) for anyone making new applications.
Most people currently receiving DLA will have to apply for PIPs from 2015 onwards.
Carol Jones, from People First, said the PIPs advice was available to any applicant.
People First can be contacted on (01535) 607222 or at peoplefirstlive.co.uk.
