15,000 more homes in Bradford to get high-speed broadband
10:00am Tuesday 24th September 2013 in News
High-speed fibre broadband will be rolled out to 15,000 more homes and businesses in Bradford city centre.
BT said it expects the area to be the final one in Bradford to be included in its £2.5 billion commercial roll-out of fibre broadband in the UK.
Openreach, BT’s local network business, will be working until the end of Spring 2014, subject to planning and technical constraints, to connect the areas.
Leader of Bradford Council, Coun David Green, said: “High speed broadband is an essential part of the modern economy and Bradford prides itself on having many successful companies across all sectors that are driven by or support state-of-the-art technology.”
