A Bradford church is asking its congregation to sponsor some of the world’s poorest children.
St John’s Church in Clayton is partnering Charity Compassion to try to help beat child poverty. St John’s will devote its service on Sunday, October 27, to raise awareness of the plight of children around the world and encourage individuals to get involved in sponsoring children like the one pictured.
Kay Holden who supports Compassion and is a member of St John’s said: “We love the idea of doing more than just giving money. Poverty is about more than just lacking things, it’s about lacking hope for the future.”
