Volunteers sought by Manorlands hospice
8:00am Monday 23rd September 2013 in News
People with their own cars are needed to transport patients to and from the hospice’s day therapy unit, which runs from Monday to Thursday.
“The unit offers patients a chance to socialise, laugh, make friends and have lunch and to ensure that all their care needs are being met,” said Johnnie Briggs, volunteer co-ordinator at Manorlands.
“Our drivers collect the patients from their homes, bring them to the hospice and then take them home again.
“They also take people to appointments and, where necessary, bring people into the hospice to visit relatives.”
Contact Mr Briggs on (01535) 642308 for further information.
