Inquests to open into horror Thornton crash in which three people died
7:00am Friday 20th September 2013 in News
Inquests into the deaths of three friends killed in a horror crash in Bradford are likely to open on Monday so funeral arrangements can be made.
One of the victims was father-of-one Lance Corporal Daniel Hague, 32, from Thornton who was on compassionate leave to see his desperately ill mother.
He had been due to return to his Lancashire-based unit the day before the high-performance Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution in which he was a passenger went out of control and ploughed into a hairdressing salon at the bottom of Kipping Lane, Thornton (above) just after 11pm on Monday.
The other two victims of the crash have been officially named by police as 19-year-old Jade Best, of Denholme, and Adam Ruthven, 27, also of Denholme.
Early inquiries by detectives investigating the crash suggested “high speed” was a factor in the collision. No other vehicle was involved.
