Join Keighley trail to learn about faiths
7:18pm Tuesday 17th September 2013 in News
An annual event to help break down barriers between different religious communities takes place this month.
Everyone is welcome to attend and learn more about different faiths at the Keighley Interfaith Trail, on Saturday, September 28.
A spokesman for the organisers said: “It is interesting to ask ourselves what we know about the beliefs of those who live in our community.
“For many, their faith will be a key part of their outlook on life, shaping their experience and actions. By looking at what others believe we strengthen and enhance our understanding of others and ourselves.”
The trail begins on Church Green at 1pm, with a visit to Keighley Shared Church before progressing to the Madina Mosque, St Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, the Markazi Jamia Mosque and Buddha Land Buddhist Centre. It ends with refreshments at 3.30pm.
