Hundreds of pounds were raised by Guiseley Amateur Operatic Society in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
The society raised £553 by holding a coffee morning on Saturday, September 7, as part of the charity’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. The amount included £89 from collections in the streets and retail park close to Guiseley Theatre.
A further £82 was raised in donations and sales of cakes and scones to members during rehearsals for a forthcoming concert - bringing the grand total to £635.
Society Secretary Joan Cutbill said they were now concentrating on final rehearsals for the Musical Favourites concert at Guiseley Theatre on Friday and Saturday at 7.30pm.
She said the concert included something for everyone, with music ranging from modern shows such as Mamma Mia, Phantom of the Opera and West Side Story to The Quaker Girl.
The event will include a section where the audience will be encouraged to join in with some well known songs from the music hall days.
Guiseley Amateurs will be joined by some friends from local societies.
Tickets cost £10 and £11 and are available on 0113 250 6434/07502 349325, by e-mailing to firstname.lastname@example.org or online through gaos.ticketsource.co.uk.
