Six Wibsey homes are burgled in a week

Six house burglaries in the space of a week were among crimes committed in the Wibsey ward, according to crime figures released by the Neighbourhood Policing Team.
Between September 7 and 13 there were six burglaries from homes and one from a shed, garage or shop.
A police spokesman said: “A very bad week for Wibsey, with six houses getting broken into. These happened at Northfield Grove, Collbrook Avenue and Kenley Mount and were full burglaries where property was stolen.
“There were three attempted break-ins at Purley Walk, Draughton Grove and Brownroyd Hill Road.
“The other burglary occurred at a charity shop on High Street in Wibsey. The lock was forced and a charity tin and a money box were stolen.
“Theft from vehicles happened at Northfield Road, Oakdale Avenue, St Pauls Avenue, Beacon Road, and two at a local hotel car park.
“Again make sure your valuables are out of view.”
