Proposals to build 47 new homes on an engineering works in Idle have received outline planning permission from Bradford Council.
The application was lodged by Gordon Newton, managing director at Israel Newton and Sons on All Alone Road where the proposed development is earmarked for.
According to the plans, the development would consist of ‘47 dwellings, including 15 per cent affordable homes’. The existing work premises would be demolished and a new access road built, as well as car parking, drainage solutions, areas of open space and landscaping.
Tony Dodd, the agent behind the application, said the engineering works would be relocating, and added about the homes development: “It will help improve the area.
“At the moment the scheme is a mixture of properties, some detached, some semi-detached and some terraced. But it isn’t a definitive plan yet.”
