A councillor is warning Addingham residents of a road closure which he says will cause major disruption.
Bradford Council proposes to close Bolton Road to all traffic for work to strengthen and replace a 100-yard retaining wall.
The road will be closed to traffic during the construction period which is due to begin on Monday, September 30, and is expected to last for 12 weeks.
This will mean that traffic will have to use Bark Lane and North Street to get from Main Street to Addingham Primary School.
Councillor Adrian Naylor (Ind, Craven) said: “I have spoken to Bradford and have asked for all residents affected and the Primary School to be contacted as soon as possible. I also spoke to the headmistress of Addingham Primary School, Hilary Gallacher, so that she could include the information in the weekly newsletter for parents.”
