Taste of Yorkshire and Beyond festival draws hundreds to Bingley

Classic cars and Polish food and beer were among the many attractions which pulled in the crowds for Bingley’s A Taste Of Yorkshire and Beyond Festival at the weekend.
Hundreds of visitors poured into the town for a range of entertainment.
Among the highlights was a range of classic cars, including an E-type Jaguar and a 1939 Bentley, which were displayed by local owners.
A beer and cider festival proved popular, along with the Polish food and beer stalls.
There were also special stalls for cheeses, pies, pickles, crepes and French biscuits.
Local musicians, Bingley Dance School and the Bradford Bulls cheerleaders added to the entertainment, along with a market, while children were able to enjoy a merry-go-round and diners could tuck into a pig on a spit.
An arts and crafts fair, in Bingley Arts Centre, ran alongside the festival.
Bingley town centre manager, Bob Parker, said it had been a “stonking” event.
He said: “It’s been busy all the way through and the market traders say business on Saturday was equal to four very good days’ trading.
“It’s been a family event. It has been a great atmosphere and there’s been a bit of everything.
“It has been a huge success for Bingley and we hope it will bring people into the town on a regular basis in the future.”
