Bradford cyclists gear up for ride to work day
10:00am Friday 13th September 2013 in News
Forty two hungry cyclists convened at City Park, Bradford, for a free Bike Breakfast to commemorate National Cycle To Work Day yesterday.
The event, funded through go:cycling, the West Yorkshire adult cycle training programme, was aimed at encouraging people to commute to work on two wheels with the incentive of free pastries, fruit and refreshments from 7.30am until 10am.
Cycle To Work Day was a national event, championed by multi-gold medal winning Paralympic cyclist, Dame Sarah Storey, to encourage more people to use bikes as their mode of transport.
