Police probe vandal attack on car
7:00am Friday 13th September 2013 in News
Police are treating a vandal attack on the car of a Bradford community worker as a racist incident.
Herbert Wuver, 68, found his Peugeot 306 car had suffered a smashed windscreen and slashed tyres when it was parked outside his home in Hastings Avenue, Marshfield.
He believes the attack was carried out by a group of men who had followed him home from the Pan African Centre in Parkside Road.
No arrests have been made but a spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: “Officers investigating the incident believe the damage relates to an ongoing neighbourhood dispute over parking in the area. A local man has been contacted by police and is due to be interviewed in relation to the incident.
“The incident is being treated as racially motivated.
