Otley Courthouse cells to be opened on heritage day
3:00pm Saturday 7th September 2013 in News
The claustrophobic environment of a Victorian prison cell can be experienced by visitors to Otley Courthouse next weekend.
Now a thriving arts centre, the venue used to be the local courthouse and police station and the building still has many of the original features.
The Courthouse will be laying on free tours and a look at the work of the Courthouse Memories group, on Saturday, September 14, as part of the national Heritage Open Days scheme.
The tours take place from 10.30am to 3.30am, and a variety of Victorian children’s games – with a £1 fee to cover materials – will also be available.
