Heaton family fun day to raise cash for Chellow Heights special school
10:00am Saturday 7th September 2013 in News
A Bradford special school is set to benefit from the proceeds of a Leeds Building Society family fun day in Heaton tomorrow.
Staff at the society’s Bradford branch are aiming to raise £1,500 for Chellow Hearts, the charity which runs Chellow Heights, a special needs school on Bingley Road catering for children aged two to 11.
Activities on the day will include a bouncy castle, face painting, tombola, cake stall and raffle, plus games for children and a mini disco.
The team in Bradford chose Chellow Hearts as its charity of the year, and staff have run other fundraising events such as an in-branch book stall, a sponsored 10k walk, the Leeds to Liverpool bike ride and a nerve-wracking skydive.
Tomorrow’s event will take place between 1pm and 4pm at Salem Rugby Club.
