Bradford Teaching Hospitals’ dedicated Parkinson’s nurse, Zoe Ridewood and St Luke’s Hospital patient, Stuart Hopwood, have helped to start a national charity partnership between Parkinson’s UK and tile merchants, Tile Giant.
Tile Giant’s new two-year fundraising campaign aims to raise £100,000 for the charity. Mr Hopwood, who was diagnosed with the condition five years ago, is one of Tile Giant’s longest-serving employees at its Shipley store.
There are about 500 sufferers of this progressive, neurodegenerative disease across Bradford and money raised from the new partnership will go towards funding the charity’s specialist nurse programme.
