RSPCA’s praise for supporters
Bradford’s RSPCA branch has been given a financial boost following its successful open day.
The annual event, which included a fun dog show and army vehicle display, raised more than £2,236, doubling last year’s total.
Fundraising is crucial to continue the valuable work carried out by the charity in looking after the animals in its care and developing the Bradford site to upgrade and expand the accommodation.
One of the recent projects was the development of a wildlife area to accommodate rescued birds.
Branch manager Terry Singh said: “They (the public) have been absolutely tremendous in supporting us.
“There are some lovely caring, good people out there and I say it from the heart on behalf of the RSPCA trustees and staff and the animals, because without their help we could not move forward and achieve what we have done.”
