Housing scheme nearing finish date
A new housing scheme offering extra care for the elderly is nearing completion.
Meadow Green and Meadow Green Lodge in Heckmondwike will be ready for tenants in November.
It is one of three schemes being developed in Kirklees by Regenter Excellent Homes for Life, a consortium of John Laing and Wates Living Space.
Woodland Court in Dewsbury has now been completed and tenants are living there, And the roof has gone on at Sandy Mount in Huddersfield.
Kirklees Council, which commissioned the schemes, will allocate flats for elderly tenants at all three schemes.
Councillor Molly Walton, Kirklees Council joint cabinet member for adult social care, said: “It’s great to see the roof go on and internal work start on our third new Extra Care housing scheme.”
