T&A wedding fair proves to be a big draw

Bridal fashion shows and more than 25 businesses covering everything needed for a big day drew hundreds of people to the Telegraph & Argus Wedding Fair yesterday.
The event took place at the Cedar Court Hotel, Mayo Avenue, and included two packed-out fashion shows by Thames Fashion productions, highlighting the latest bridal ranges, menswear and bridesmaids dresses.
T&A newspaper sales manager Robert Drummond said the day had gone well and brides-to-be and their families had been impressed by the one-stop shop. One woman he spoke to, Kelly Charles, said she thought the wedding fair, the first she’s been to was “great.”
Vintage wedding cars were on display outside the hotel to greet brides with Exclusive Wedding Cars making several bookings.
“People queued to be let in. There were around 100 people in the queue when we opened the doors and the first 50 got their complimentary goody bags,” Mr Drummond said.
Companies offering cars, cakes, flowers, jewellers and venues were just some of those showcasing what they had to offer couples tying the knot. Every bride who registered at the event was entered into a competition to win a Kuoni five-star mini-moon, for three nights, in Il Salviatino, Florence, courtesy of the Wedding Guide.
