‘Suburban’ housing is refused
12:35pm Sunday 1st September 2013 in News
Plans for new housing in Silsden have been refused because they would be too “suburban” for the surrounding area.
Last year Bradford Council gave permission for D Clayton to build two detached houses at Croft House Farm, Bolton Road. But earlier this year, Mr Clayton applied to build three large family homes on the site instead.
This was refused on Friday, with planning officer Paul Verity saying: “The scale and density is more suited to a suburban area where plot sizes for larger properties tend to be smaller.”
