Help make event the greenest yet, say Saltaire Festival organisers
7:00am Monday 26th August 2013 in News
The organisers of Saltaire Festival are hoping this year will be the greenest yet and are asking visitors to play their part in reducing the event’s environmental impact.
Festival-goers are being urged to cycle, walk or use public transport to get to the World Heritage Site this September.
Festival chairman Gideon Seymour said: “The distinctive design of the village limits car access and there will be less parking available at the festival than during previous years.
“Bradford Council does a great job of keeping the village clean during each festival and this year we will have more recycling bins located around Saltaire.
“We also have asked food vendors to use recyclable cartons and wrapping where possible in an effort further reduce our environmental impact.”
The festival runs from September 14 to 22. Visit saltairefestival.co.uk for details on the programme and how to get there.
