Otley groups stage fundraising gig for Wheatfields Hospice
9:00am Monday 26th August 2013 in News
Four Otley groups will join forces for a fundraising show in the town.
The Recidivists, The Restless Natives, The Jellymen and Des the Miner will be raising money for the Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice when they take to the stage at Korks Wine Bar on Saturday, September 28.
The show is in memory of Leeds Rhinos fan and Junction Inn regular Jon Jones, an Otley man who lost his battle with bowel cancer two years ago, aged 43.
Admission costs £5, with all proceeds going to Wheatfields Hospice in Headingley, which looked after Mr Jones during his final weeks.
A similar event last year raised more than £1,500, a total the organisers are hoping to beat this time.
Doors will open at 7.30pm.
