Bradford City player is given crisp surprise at Marie Curie Hospice
10:00am Saturday 24th August 2013 in News
Bradford City player Carl McHugh was given a surprise when he visited the Bradford Marie Curie Hospice – he was presented with two boxes of his favourite crisps as a reminder of home.
Marie Curie corporate fundraiser Brian Curran had read that Carl missed a few home comforts including Tayto crisps and thought it would be a surprise to present him with some.
Tayto crisps support Marie Curie in Northern Ireland and were happy to send a couple of boxes over for Carl.
The football player was shown round the hospice and met many of the patients and staff.
The player, who was keen to redistribute the crisps to staff, visitors and patients, said: “I don’t think the fitness coaches would be too happy for me to eat so many crisps so I was delighted to donate them back to the hospice."
