An evening of dining and magic held at the Pesto Italian restaurant this week has raised more than £1,500 for Cancer Support Bradford & Airedale.
The ‘Hey Pesto’ evening at the restaurant near Wilsden featured a menu of Italian ‘piattini’ as well as entertainment provided by local magician Jonathan Paul.
The event was organised by Harden resident, Peter Comer, 65, to help raise funds for the charity that has supported him and his wife as he has battled cancer over the past nine years.
Mr Comer said: “Cancer Support Bradford & Airedale has not only been around to help people for the past 25 years, but they have made a real difference to my own life. Organising this event is my chance to give something back through an evening that everyone could enjoy and, from the feedback I got on the night, I am sure everyone had a good time.”
