Police investigate similarities after second missing teen is found in Bradford

Police are investigating whether there are any similarities after a second missing Sheffield teenage girl was found in Bradford.
Adela Copakova, 14, was found by police at a property in the Frizinghall area in the early hours of yesterday, four days after she vanished from her home in Bradway, Sheffield. Three Bradford men were today in custody for questioning on suspicion of child abduction.
The discovery came less than two weeks after a 13-year-old Sheffield girl was found in Bradford city centre, a week after she had gone missing from her home.
Nine people from Bradford were arrested in connection with her disappearance.
Yesterday, a spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said officers were aware of similarities between the two cases. But the spokesman added: “There appears to be no connection, although we are still looking into that.”
The alarm was raised when Adela, who is Slovakian, went missing from outside her home in Twentywell Lane, Sheffield, at 8pm last Sunday.
Adela was reported missing two hours later and police said they and her family were concerned to trace her. Inquiries were launched in Bradford after suggestions she had links to the district.
