Leeds Bradford Airport is gearing up for a busy August Bank Holiday weekend, with an estimated 12 per cent increase in passengers and an estimated 30,000 people expected to fly out on the last summer bank holiday of the year.
The most popular hot spots are Turkey, Cyprus, Spain and Greece, as people across the district seek a last-minute beach holiday before children return to school.
Top short break destinations include Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin and Dublin, combining leisurely sight-seeing, culture and great food.
Tony Hallwood, Leeds Bradford Airport’s marketing director, said; “As Yorkshire’s Gateway airport we also look forward to welcoming overseas visitors to experience the region’s culture, history and famous hospitality.”
