‘Lost’ graves see the light of day again at Low Moor church

A Bradford graveyard has been transformed after a major clean-up uncovered graves not seen for years.
Although volunteers from Holy Trinity Church in Low Moor regularly maintain the site, it had been several years since a full tidy-up and parts of the graveyard were severely overgrown.
This month, a group of over 20 people, including council staff, volunteers and staff from local firm BASF, turned out to clean the site up.
Rada Mijalovic, Bradford south area co-ordinator, said: “We did absolutely loads. You could really see the difference at the end of the day. We uncovered some graves that had been covered up for years. It was really good teamwork.
“We’re going to see if the gardeners at BASF can come over every now and then to help maintain it.”
