Yorkshire Building Society has received international recognition for supporting local communities.
The Bradford-based organisation has achieved a CSR excellence award in recognition of its commitment to playing an active role in communities where its staff and members live and work.
The UK’s second-largest building society was honoured with the gold prize for numerous community initiatives it runs, including its charitable giving and volunteering programmes.
The inaugural International CRS Excellence Awards are part of a campaign to find leading companies that care about their communities. Andy Caton, corporate development director, said: “As a mutual it is part of our heritage to support charities and good causes.”
