1,000 gather to hear talk on Kashmir problem

More than 1,000 people gathered at Bradford’s Hilton Hotel tonight for an evening of politics with a former Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir.
As a bustling, excited crowd looked on, Barrister Sultan Mahmood talked about the rising tensions between India and Pakistan over the disputed Kashmir region.
Tensions are high along the Line of Control in Kashmir, with both Indian and Pakistani sides accusing the other of attacks.
Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has spoken of the need to defuse tension.
Kashmir is currently divided between India, Pakistan and China.
Azad Kashmir is the southernmost of two political entities which make up the Pakistani-controlled part of Kashmir.
